These instructions are for
the monthly wall
art only.
The Monthly Show art changes each month. When you come
to the Gallery for take-in please have your temporary take-in tag and take-in
sheet (PDF files sent along with The Paint Rag) filled out.
Three pieces of artwork are allowed if space permits.
Your work must have some identification on the back.
Do not bring in wet paintings or frames.
Giclees are acceptable as long as they are well
marked, but will not be
included in the judging.
A 10% commission will be charged on sales from the
monthly wall art (same rate as all other art in the gallery), plus a 5.4%
credit card fee if a credit card is used for the purchase.
Work must be framed unless you use the wrap-around
canvas stapled in back.
The wire should be the multi-strand wire (not the
saw-toothed hanger
typical of ready-made frames) attached
as per the Picture Hanging System 3-22-08 document attached.
Please tape the ends of the wire, and please don't put
tape or tubing in the middle of the wire.
If your work, including frame, measures:
under 17 on the diagonal the fee is $10.00,
17 to 36 on the diagonal, the fee is $15.00.
over 36 on the diagonal, your fee is $20.00.
Measure carefully.
Artists may show 1 or 2 or 3 pieces
depending on available gallery wall space.
Be sure your work looks as nice as it can, with clean,
well put-together frame, clean glass and a well-cut mat.
The Take-in committee reserves the right to refuse
entries that do not meet gallery standards.
