"Swami's-Fish Head"

Isabella has taught school, worked in magazine advertising, publicity, health care, managed a physician's office, and run her own medical insurance claim filing service for fourteen years. Along the way she dabbled in art, mostly watercolor. While a member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild she enjoyed workshops from such notable artists as Robert Wood, Tom Hill, Milford Zornes, Robert Landry, Robert Blair, Morris Shubin, and Zalton Zabo.

Isabella is a native of Tucson, Arizona. She was raised there and in Long Island, New York. She is a graduate of the Bishop's School in La Jolla, California. She attended Cal-Western University in San Diego, UC Berkeley, and received her teaching degree from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.

In 1995 she gave up her medical insurance claim filing business to pursue her artwork full time. Her first loves are animals and nature. She does pet and people portraits and land and seascapes. She works in watercolor and acrylic."I'm a realist and detail oriented with pets and people because so much personality shows in the detail of lines. With nature I am a little less restricted and somewhat bolder."

Isabella has become well known for her scenic coastal photography as well. She sells her photos on signed greeting cards at numerous stores and gifts shops from La Jolla north to Oceanside. DEMA (Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association) used over ninety of her photos to make a beautiful CD screen saver entitled "North County Coastal Naturally".

Isabella is a past President of the San Dieguito Art Guild and shows her work at the guild's Off Track Gallery in Leucadia. She is a past member of the Southern Arizona Watercolor Guild and the Society of Illustrators of San Diego.

Isabella, a devoted pet owner, lives and works in Encinitas, California, with her three cats and her mini red dachshund, Beau. Beau and her big orange tabby called Pablo (or"Pa") travel everywhere with her in their Eurovan camper.
